Classes and Field Trips
Engaging Classes
Join us for weekly classes featuring diverse nature themes, interactive science experiments, music, crafts, and more! Each week will have a different nature theme and each month we will alternate between an artist and a composer while focusing on one good habits!
Goals of the year
- Knows their full name, age, and birthday.
- Knows how to spell their first name.
- Can introduce themself.
- Recognizes the capital and lowercase letters and knows the sound of at least half of the alphabet.
- Counts to 20.
- Recognizes the numbers 0-9.
- Recites the days of the week in order.
- Puts shoes on the correct feet.
- Puts a jacket and backpack on without any help.
- Can get fully dressed with minimal to no help.
- Knows common shapes, animals, plants, colors, and body parts.
- Understands basic emotions.
- Understands basic weather and seasons.
- Understands basic directions, object placement, opposites, and can distinguish between left & right.
- Builds a foundation for good habits.
We aim to follow the TEKS guidelines based on your child’s ability and readiness for each level. We are an all-inclusive program that can help build your child’s skills at any level, at their pace. We do not compare each child, instead we guide them to the best of their abilities to grow and learn in a fun, safe environment where kids can have the freedom to run and be loud!
Baby Nelis
We will focus on physical skills, social skills, and cognitive skills. Babies will get lots of tummy time and sensory play.

- Join us for a 4-week hands-on cooking program that teaches children about healthy habits and nutritious food!
- $20 per child for all 4 classes
- $8 per child for one class
- Ages 3-8 (older siblings are allowed; it is just geared toward a younger age group)
- One parent must stay per family; younger siblings are allowed to be present (but they cannot participate).
- It is stroller friendly.
- There is a Spanish and an English class available!
Storytime with Kim, Coco, & Mr. Pickle

- Ages 5-11 (younger siblings are welcome but they would like to limit the number of young ones inside during storytime to keep it quiet)
- Join us for an interactive storytime with puppets and special guests! $5 donation per child - All funds will go to Friends of San Antonio Public Library
